The Day After Christmas

We went to Grandma Wille's apartment on the 26th to celebrate one last Christmas in Solon. Her apartment is pretty small, and there was a lot of people packed into the place. Luckily we got there early and had good seats for the day.

Caleb hung out pretty much the whole day with his Great Uncle Dale. They had a great time playing and snuggling.

When he wasn't hanging out with Uncle Dale, his little butt never touched the ground. Here he is with Great Aunt Barb while Great Grandma Wille tries to get him to smile.

Unfortunately little Caleb picked up a stuffy nose and a mild temperature. But he's battling through it and we are taking good care of him!

We had a great time with the Wille's, Bartlett's, and everyone else we spent time with over Christmas. Thanks to Grandma Mary & Grandpa Bob for the roof over our heads. It would have been a cold and snowy weekend without it!!! All the food was great and Caleb's first Christmas was a memorable one.

We look ahead to next weekend when we get to do it all over again on the other side of the state with Grandma & Grandpa Lesher!!!!

Christmas Day.....

We spent Christmas Day with the Bartlett side of the family. We actually were able to hold our get-together at the Brosh Community Center in Solon because Andy's cousin Mike is in charge of the place.

Before we left, here's what we had to dig out of from Christmas Eve..... (about 7 inches)

Grandpa B was so happy to see Caleb and he could hardly put him down!

Caleb wasn't put down the whole day. Plenty of other people were eager to hold him and say "hello". Here's Caleb's Aunt Joanna, she just loves little Caleb!

And soon-to-be cousin Bob here filling Caleb full of bull$@#%!

It was another great day of Christmas break! We look forward to seeing everyone on the Wille side of the family today!!!!

Caleb's First Christmas (cont.)...........

We spent all day Christmas Eve at Grandma Mary's. We played games, watched movies and had an amazing roast for dinner! After dinner we opened presents and Caleb loved every minute of it!

Here he is hanging out with Grandpa Bob!

Caleb wanted to play "Santa" so we got out his outfit and he played the part all day!

On Christmas Eve, Dad read Caleb the real story of Christmas.

Christmas Eve was a late night and we were all very tired. It even showed on Christmas morning as Andy could not get Caleb and his mom out of bed!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Mary!!!!

Christmas Eve is also Grandma Mary's birthday! She had the best birthday ever as Caleb & her cuddled all day!!!!

Caleb's First Christmas so far......

Caleb woke his parents up early on Thursday morning and wanted to open his stocking and presents before we took off for Grandma Mary's!!!

Caleb's stocking was made special by his Great Aunt Diana Bartlett. It is beautiful.

His favorite present was in his stocking....a new pacifier!!!!

Once we got to Grandma Mary's Caleb saw that he had another special stocking made for him. It was so big he could fit inside it!!!!

He's having a great Christmas so far......

Forest Friends

Andy shot a deer behind the house last Sunday and he used the entrails as a "bait" site. He set up a trail camera over the bait and captured the creature that lurks in the shadows of the Ledges.

The world's largest raccoon also waddled in to check things out!!

Gettin' Ready for Christmas

Grandma Mary came over this weekend and helped Caleb get some Christmas decorating done. We went to Ames on Saturday and picked out a tree. We supported Andy's old club and bought the tree from the ISU Forestry Club. When we got home, Caleb & Grandma strung the lights and put up some decorations. Here's Caleb & Grandma posing with their tree!

Sunday afternoon Andy crawled up on the roof and added some more lights to his outdoor Christmas display! It's one of the best in the county and has been described as "Breath-taking" and "Award-winning".
