FOOD!

Caleb got his first taste of (somewhat) real food last night. It was mooshed up green bean baby food and he actually gobbled it right up!

Caleb & Cora

Caleb's cousin Cora stopped by to say hello today. Caleb is only 6 days older than Cora. Here they are sharing a chair and catchin' up with each other.

5 Months

Can you believe Caleb is 5 months old already?!?! There's no doctor check-up for 5 months, so we'll have to wait another month to see how big he's getting. He's beginning to roll over from front to back and back to front more and more lately. He also loves to play in his play gym on the floor and hang out in his froggy jumper. He will also grab just about anything he can get his hands on, including hair! Pretty soon the weather will turn warm and he'll really start to explore the outside world! Here's some 5 month pictures, enjoy!

Super Bowl Sunday

We had no plans for the big game, so we decided to make some hamburger chip dip, take our shirts off, and have our own super bowl party! Well, Caleb was the only one crazy enough to take his shirt off and he was a party animal!

Caleb went crazy. First he stuffed his face with rice cereal.

Then Caleb played the part of "football" as his Pa did his best Heisman pose!

Caleb was rooting for the Packers and was amazed by the play of MVP Aaron Rodgers. After this play he turned to mom to make sure she'd seen it too!

Well all the food, drink, and excitement finally got the better of the little guy. He was passed out before the end of the game! We had to tell him how it turned out in the morning.

Brains and Braun

Caleb had his 4 month check up at the doctor and we were told that he's a perfectly healthy, growing boy. (which we already knew!) He weighed 16 lbs. 5 ozs. and was 26 inches long. Height and weight put him in about the 80th percentile, but his head circumference puts him in the 99th percentile! He's got his mother's brains and his father's braun!

We also got the OK to start giving him a little rice cereal! So we've mixed up some milk & rice cereal and he just gobbles it up! Here's the evidence.....

Another new thing he's been doing his grabbing his feet with both hands and shoving them into his mouth!
