Preschool!

Caleb started 3 year old preschool this year!  He's excited to meet new friends and learn new things.  It should be a great experience for him.

11 months

Emmett turned 11 months old yesterday.  Where has the time gone?!?!?!

The Plague

Our family spent all of last weekend sealed up in the house as we all took turns with the flu.  Poor baby Emmett brought it home first and then Caleb & Dad came down with it a day later. 

After doing an amazing job taking care of the boys, poor Mommy contracted the plague on Saturday.  The boys took care of her for the rest of the weekend.  Here's some pics of the afflicted...

Day Out

We all went out playin at the farm today.  Actually Emmett fell asleep on the way there & while Mom stayed in the truck with him, Dad and Caleb were the only ones who had the fun!

Away in the Manger

Buck decided to spend the day genuflecting in the presence of baby Jesus. Caleb thought it was pretty neat as we have been reading the Christmas story every night before bed. We are all very excited for Daddy's return tomorrow.   The deer count so far is 12, much improved from years past :)

Hanging out

Today Buck decided to join the teddy bear in the mini tree and hang out in the dining room. Buck was excited to report back today as both boys were perfect angels all day while shopping with Mommy and Gammy Jean. We ventured down to Jordan Creek where we saw rain deer and then to east Des Moines for Gampy Lon's semi parts then on to Ames. Gammy Jean made it home safely tonight and as for the boys and Mommy, we plan to watch it snow while being lazy bums all day tomorrow. Daddy is at deer camp and having a great time:) Before Mommy knows it, the boys will be joining him so she's enjoying every minute for now!  Buck will have much to report tomorrow I'm sure. 

Mischievous

Buck came to our house today as a little trickster!  He got ahold of our markers & had some fun with our family pictures!!!

Happy to say today that we had 2 perfect angels for boys!  Mommy hosted her book club tonight & both boys obeyed daddy all night, didn't bother the party and went to bed on time!  A couple "Nice" reports to send back to the North Pole tonight!

Swingin'

Buck was pleasantly surprised yesterday to find a couple good boys when he showed up.  They both earned "Nice" reports!

Today he thought he'd take it easy and have some fun while he watched the boys.

Today poor Emmett came down with a cold.  He fought congestion & runny nose all day :(  But overall was a good boy.

Daddy took both boys to the doctor today too.  Emmett for his cold & Caleb for his 3 year wellness check.  Caleb measured in at about the 50th percentile for height & weight.  Emmett got the news that he'll just have to let his cold run its course.

Both boys were great today & earned two more "Nice" reports back to Santa!

Naughty or Nice?

After Buck's first day in the Bartlett house he knew his work was cut out for him.  Unfortunately upon his first return to the North Pole, Buck had to take a "Naughty" report back with him for Caleb.  After witnessing Caleb not eat his supper, disobey his parents, and pee all over his dad; he took the bad news back with him.

Emmett on the other hand was a good boy.  Although he's developing a bad habit of crying when either of his parents get out of sight, his overall day was good.

So the score after Day 1 is as follows....

Today Buck took a seat over the kitchen table to keep a closer eye on how the boys eat their supper.

It's Christmas!

Christmas is taking hold on our house. The tree went up last night, lights got put on it today & we even hung a few outdoor lights.

A new tradition was started this year in our house too...Elf on a Shelf!  Last night we read Caleb & Emmett the story and Caleb decided to name the elf "Buck".

Buck flew in hard & fast this morning, knowing he has his work cut out for him watching over these boys!  He came in so fast he got tangled in the ceiling fan!

8 months

Emmett turned 8 months on Thanksgiving day! He shared birthdays with his Gampie Mike! We hung out with great grandparents, grandparents, brothers, aunts, uncles & cousins! It was a FUN day!

Halloween 2013

Caleb & Emmett dressed up as a team this year for Halloween.  It was Emmett's 1st Halloween and they both had a blast!  Caleb dressed up as Jake from Jake & The Neverland Pirates (Disney Channel cartoon), and Emmett was his trusty sidekick Cubby.  Here they are!
