30 Weeks!!!

Today marks the 30 week point in our pregnancy! We are 3/4 the way through it, maybe less if the baby comes early! Below is what's happening in Trish's tummy according to www.babycenter.com

"Our baby is about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds (like a head of cabbage). A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in the uterus. His eyesight continues to develope, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light, but will have 20/400 vision - which means he'll only make out objects a few inches from his face."

According to Andy's pregnancy size comparison chart, based on the size of the baby, he is comparable to a large mouth bass....not a head of cabbage.

In other notes, you might not see many good pictures for awhile on our blog....since Andy dropped the digital camera in the toilet!

One other important happening is that Andy finished the construction of the crib today! It'll get a few coats of a water-based polyurathane and then be transported to the baby's room and set up! Luckily for Andy, there's enough summer left for him to play some golf now that he's got the crib done.

Hopefully pictures will come again soon :(
